The element of the story structure I chose is Point of view, this is the viewpoint of four points of view, the first person, the omniscient, limited omniscient, the objective viewpoint. The first person is the viewpoint of one character using “I”. Usually telling the story as the eyewitness. The omniscient viewpoint, the author is God like, knowing all. The limited omniscient viewpoint, story is told in the third person. And the objective viewpoint the eyewitness in the immediate scene, they learn only what they can see and hear. With out knowing the thoughts of the characters.

ReplyDeleteThe narrative device I chose from the chapter is imagery. When using imagery the descriptive words pop out to the reader and the author uses the senses to create an image in the mind.

Another one that describes a scene would be to show a picture and ask the reader to describe what they see but not use the main objects that stand out. That is another way the author is trying to paint a picture in your mind.

The element of story I chose was the plot, the sequence of events involving characters in conflict situations is the definition as the book states. The basic part of the plot is divided up into three parts such as beginning, middle, and end. In each part of these sections the author adds to the story, describes the characters in the beginning and adds conflict such as a problem to the story or more characters in a story and then the final end how the character would solve the problem. The plot has four components to its story: problem, roadblocks, high point, and solution.

The element of the story structure that I chose is characters. Characters are often the most important element of a story, because most stories evolve around a character or characters. Characters are developed four ways: appearance, actions, dialogue, and monologue.
